Aluminum definitely is the new and improved method of desiging product in today's environmentally conscious society. The company I work for has developed an initiative to try to convert most of there products to aluminum (where applicable) to ride the "green wave".
I think it's a good decision.

Aluminum is being widely used in nearly every industry due to it's environmental friendliness. My company has integrated more and more aluminum components into our new products than we ever had in the past. We've eliminated most of our galvanized needs over the past 3 years and replaced it with T6 extrusions.
